What time did you get out of bed today?

I'm out of bed? How did this happen?

What are you thinking right now?

How do you get a hyperactive cat to calm the fresia down?

It's okay to be a misanthrope

Obviously a lot of philosophical and self introspective thought went into this. I think I follow you, but can't be entirely certain.

What are you thinking right now?

    No.

It's okay to be a misanthrope

I'm nine years older since I posted this thread and have realised the error of my ways. I no longer erect a protective psychological barrier against phony people, I grow high hedges and build walls with real bricks and mortar. Ask my phony neighbours.

    Hello My Friends

Everything is not fine. Most of the time very few things are fine. Some days I struggle to say "I'm fine". Welcome to the forum anyow.

    What made you smile today?

Bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches with mayo made me smile this morning. Sorry, I tried pescetarianism, vegetarianism and veganism and it didn't work out. I became anaemic. Today is the first time I've had bacon in approximately 3 years. I didn't know it was possible to smile with your mouth full.

the value of family in isolation?

I don't have any family. I'm a chronic loner, social recluse and a misanthrope who has been alone for many years. I find that whilst these sites are great for offloading your thoughts and receiving some feedback, the only real and important person in your life is you. Your father, brother etc...

What is the craziest thing you`ve done?

I've done a lot of crazy things. Where do I start? You really don't want to know about half the sh*t I've got up to over the years.

Perfect Christmas dinner in 10 minutes without an oven

It was so good in fact, I'm going to have a perfect 10 minute Christmas dinner every Sunday!

Perfect Christmas dinner in 10 minutes without an oven

Okay, so my oven door got broken and had to be removed about 3 months ago, and I haven't been able to find a replacement, as the oven model is out of production, so I've been cooking all of my meals on a George Foreman health grill, and to great results. A week before Christmas day I thought...

    Are you spending Xmas alone?

When you're with animals you're not alone. Animals are the best people; they are honest, innocent, sweet, naturally loving and affectionate, and much better company than humans, who by and large, are disingenuous, duplicitous, contrived and not nice people. Love the pussy-cats and doggies; they...

    Is everybody a hypocrite..?

I realised that virtually everyone around me was a phony many years ago. I became a misanthrope and wrote this. You might agree with it: http://www.experienceproject.com/stories/Am-A-Misanthrope/1794304

    Are you spending Xmas alone?

Oh man, you sound like an alcoholic who hasn't had a very nice time in life. My childhood wasn't idyllic either. In fact, I've been through a lot, and I did for a time resort to alcohol to cope in my late 20s and early 30s. Don't do it to yourself is all I can say. It's a self defeating coping...

    Are you spending Xmas alone?

I usually go for a drive or a walk, and then immerse myself on the internet and catch up on books I haven't finished reading. Also, the TV is pretty **** good at this time of year.

Considering quitting my job and not working...

Great post. Couldn't have put it better myself.

    Are you spending Xmas alone?

"Cloth based smiling doorstop type cats" are not the genuine article though. Invest in a real cat, stroke the little fella, and listen to it purr. My cat's a great little companion. Some people don't like cats, I love my cat as much as I loved my Labrador dog.

I find this a bit disturbing

Yep, and that's America. I'm assuming those images were produced in the US. I was. :D

I find this a bit disturbing

I'm not so sure about the blue and white striped shirt with the yellow bag. Disturbing? No. The colour scheme just doesn't work.
