I've been lurking for a bit and think I may like it here. Here goes,I'm 46 going through a divorce and suddenly realising that most of my friends were actually his. I work long hours,don't have much time for socialising and nobody calls. I like to talk to people,but have no idea how to meet people,I feel like I'm too old!
Oh and I'm from England and I feel a bit silly right now :rolleyes2:

Welcome and don't worry. There is nothing like "too old" for meeting people, talking and making friends.

Very true.

I understand about wanting some friends your own age, and how often it seems like everyone is either older or younger, but they are out there. In the meantime, there are people of all ages out there who you might relate to on some level, possibly more than you'd ever realise. I'm 28 and often find myself relating more to slightly older people, both platonically and romantically.
