is loneliness a state of mind or is it eternally permeating?

A state of mind.. simply because there are people who can be surrounded by people and yet still be lonely.

And there are people who can be alone and still wouldn't feel lonely. ^_^;;;
I think it's a state of mind.

Loneliness is a state of mind eternally permeating from within. You can change your state of mind, but the ideals will remain without constant vigil to keep from thinking in that pattern.

I think the difference is between the state of being alone and the feeling of loneliness.
