I watched Night of the Hunter last night on Tubi. Excellent story! I know what you mean about Mitchum's acting. That was an Oscar performance if I ever saw one. I was reading about him and learned that the film critic, Roger Ebert, said that Mitchum was his favorite actor. I can see why!
