I remember taking Myers-Briggs tests in psych class in high school. Anyone else here have some experience? I took one a few years later and got the same result. I'm an INTJ which stands for introversion(big surprise :p), intuition, thinking and judgment. here's an excerpt from wikipedia:

"INTJs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "Does it work?" to everything from their own research efforts to the prevailing social norms. This in turn produces an unusual independence of mind, freeing the INTJ from the constraints of authority, convention, or sentiment for its own sake ... INTJs are known as the "Systems Builders" of the types, perhaps in part because they possess the unusual trait combination of imagination and reliability. Whatever system an INTJ happens to be working on is for them the equivalent of a moral cause to an INFJ; both perfectionism and disregard for authority may come into play ... Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ's Achilles heel ... This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals ... Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense."

Not quite 100% accurate, but a very interesting read nonetheless. So what's your personality type? If you don't know, try an online test and find out!

According to the MBTI, I'm an ENFP.

"An ENFP needs to focus on following through with their projects. This can be a problem area for some of these individuals. ... Others may fall into the habit of dropping a project when they become excited about a new possibility, and thus they never achieve the great accomplishments which they are capable of achieving. "

This is why people think I'm flaky. I'm bad at follow-through.

"Because ENFPs live in the world of exciting possibilities, the details of everyday life are seen as trivial drudgery. They place no importance on detailed, maintenance-type tasks, and will frequently remain oblivous to these types of concerns. When they do have to perform these tasks, they do not enjoy themselves."

Oh God yes.

I'm INFP. I had the assumption that loners would probably be an "I" rather than an "E".

I am an ENFJ. Extroverted intuitive Feeling Judging .

"ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear."

Famous ENFJs:
David, King of Israel
U.S. Presidents:
Abraham Lincoln
Ronald Reagan
Barack Obama

"Best Love matches INFP, ISFP, and, INTJ"

That was only a small part of the description.... i always come up with the same result... so I guess i am an ENFJ.

I've taken the online tests and they all say I'm INTP, the description is somewhat accurate There were some things that didn't fit in, but then i did some googling and found out I'm what happens when INTP's malfunction xD

INTPs are logical, individualistic, reserved, and very curious individuals. They focus on ideas, theories and the explanation of how things work. They are especially adept at discussions and debate. They have the ability to focus intently on a subject. They appreciate and respect intelligence in others.

ENFP. Bloody ******* advocate. I knew this from a very long time

I tried an online version of the test...so it may be a bit skewed, but for the most part I think this is correct: I'm an ISTP.

Here are some ISTP facts:

1. "ISTPs have an adventuresome spirit. They are attracted to motorcycles, airplanes, sky diving, surfing, etc. They thrive on action, and are usually fearless."

2. "ISTPs are action-oriented people. They like to be up and about, doing things. They are not people to sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning."

3. "ISTPs are excellent in a crisis situations. They're usually good athletes, and have very good hand-eye coordination. They are good at following through with a project, and tying up loose ends. They usually don't have much trouble with school, because they are introverts who can think logically."

4. "ISTPs are optimistic, full of good cheer, loyal to their equals, uncomplicated in their desires, generous, trusting and receptive people who want no part in confining commitments."

Mostly, all of this describes me fairly well...but there was also some stuff about ISTPs not paying attention to their emotions enough and I really don't have much of a problem with that, so this isn't 100%....but it's closer than I thought it would be. :)

I am not a loner either. One doesn't have to be a loner to be lonely.

Dude, I am an ENFP too. MY dad wanted me to be an engineer like him, and that's one of the careers listed which dovetails nicely with those traits, but all is not lost, look!

ENFPs are often happy with the following jobs which tend to match well with the Advocate/Visionary personality. I took the opportunity to "x" out Engineer and Attorney. :p

* Artist
* Art Director
* Actor
* Accountant/Auditor
* Banker/Economist
* Consultant
* Career Counselor
* Conference Planner
* Church Worker
* Diplomat
* Dietitian/Nutritionist
* Designer
* Entrepreneur
* Engineer
* Editor
* Human Resources
* Housing Director
* Homemaker
* Journalist
* Lawyer/Attorney

* Politician
* Project Manager
* Researcher
* Scientist
* Social Worker
* Speech Pathologist
* Social Scientist
* Senior Manager
