don't know if this is the right place to ask but dose anyone out there from experience know any good self help books? preferably on social anexiety/shyness problems, depression and over eating disorders?
I've had trouble socialising and making friends my whole life, can't remember the last time I was truly happy with my life and am extreamy over weight. any suggestions?

When I need a boost I usually go back to good old Norman V. Peale. "The Power of Positive Thinking" never fails to inspire me. Simple, honest, and to the point. There's no quick fix in his writing, just food for thought.

I've read quite a few "self-help" books, but not the kind that relate specifically to anxiety and depression. I will say that most of these kinds of books seem to always have at least a little something that ends up being fairly helpful.

I've never read a 'self help book' that I can remember for more than a week.

I got a bunch of selfhelp books and related stuff on pdf, but I haven't read them yet.

Just try them, some of them will be good.
