once upon a time, there wasn't even time, there was nothing really. Then suddenly something happened. This something suddenly realized very quickly, that it was infact something and not just an eternal non-existant nothingness.
The Cosmic Beaver had become self aware at the first glance of it's infinitely wise tail. So the cosmic beaver suddenly realized that it was something and was most certainly not nothing. The cosmic beaver delighted in it's existence. It did various beaver things and what not, untill suddenly it got very lonely. It realized it was the only cosmic beaver and nothing else existed. This perplexed the cosmic beaver so.
The cosmic beaver was completely alone and not only that, it didn't even know how it came to be itself. All it knew, is that it was, it didn't used to be, and it was alone. So the cosmic beaver decided it must solve this problem with it's cosmic beaver powers. The cosmic beaver decided that in order to not be alone, there would have to be other beings, maybe even other beavers. The cosmic beaver realized that since it was the only thing that it knew existed, these other beings must come from it. The cosmic beaver realized this as what we know today as death.
The cosmic beaver was quite frightened of the concept of death. To avoid it, the cosmic beaver devised a plan to create another universe that it would rule over. However, the cosmic beaver was very alone, and thought the idea of being a non-present entity in a future created universe would be even lonlier. It decided it would have to overcome it's fear of death, and become the very universe it saught to create.
So the cosmic beaver decided that it would implode itself, resulting in a spontaneous creation of matter, that would one day result in the creation of beings. The cosmic beaver feared also that perhaps it would not work, that perhaps the matter would materialize nothing, but then it figured it wouldn't exist to know eitherway so, it was either that or eternal lonliness.
So the cosmic beaver sang the eternal imploding song of death life and the creation of all that would be known other then what it knew and perhaps the destruction of that prior. Then, the cosmic beaver died, never to be remembered again. Or so it thought.
Then instantly just as it had happened to the beaver, something happened, as opposed to nothingness. Except this time, many sentient beings discovered at different times that before they were something, they were nothing, and that they were not alone. From then all sentient beings were no longer alone. However, due to the eternal nature of the cosmic beaver and the choice it made to die to become that which it saught to be, all sentient beings would be forever cursed to die in the way of the beaver, that they may enjoy fully in life what the cosmic beaver never could in immortality.
