I was googling "talk to other lonely people" when this site ended up being the fifth or so link. Since it didn't coerce me into dating someone for a fee, I decided to join.
I'm 16, from MI, US. My family is overprotective, so communicating with the outside world is hard, and it has created a dent on my social skills. I always want to be in a romantic relationship, because that seems to be the only one that's stable (well, for some time) in the sense that conversation is everyday as opposed to whenever my friends aren't "busy" ("I'm bored because my plans have been cancelled, so entertain me"). And at the moment, everyone happens to be busy.

And I highly disagree that a romantic relationship is more stable than any other type. In fact, I'd say romantic relationships are generally less stable than friend-type relationships. *shrug* lol
