Back when before technology had advanced to what it is today.
The fear had always been big brother watching our every moves.
There's cameras everywhere in our society today.
Most people thought technology would had advance to that piont by 1984.

I've manufactured cameras that can zoom in on an object from
miles away...actually get serials numbers off of that object
from a mile. There's tons of these cameras posted along
the US and Mex Boarder.

Google earth...man.
it's not always in real time...but here we are.

Heck you cant even hide behind walls today if someone wishes
to spy on ya...Infare Red can easily see your body heat.

We are also being tracked through our debets, or credit cards usage.
More and more we're carrying less paper money around.

Our cell phone useage. Not just with GPS...but signals
that our cell phone gose through the nearest satilite tower.

yeah but the film is about more than cameras interesting stuff. The guy stands up to it, puts his life on the line, a selfless act to change the world for the better. An unsung hero no one knows what he has done for all.
