What do you think about smalltalk?

Not a fan. Feels a lot like poking around for some common interest, which I don't really have the patience for.

These days, whenever I can, I try to consciously take any conversation I am in from small talk to something meaningful. I try to look for some topic that I can sort of "lure" the other person out with. When the conversation is going to small talk, I view it now as a sign that I need to take the lead.

Small talk isn't my thing but even the deeper conversations have to start from somewhere.

I don't like small talk it reeks of superficiality when I'm quite genuine and can get into a conversation quickly.I'm also perceptive so like to help those who are down.
