I'm pretty sure I have the exact same chess set. I'm wondering how they were illuminated, I'm guessing some kind of LED drilled into the base of each piece? I took some photos of my chess set once, setting them up and positioning the camera with a tripod at different angles, but they didn't really turned out the way I wanted. Probably because I didn't have any decent lighting. Nice pics.

Why yes I did! Those are very nice photos.

When I was frequenting the digital art forums, people would joke about the fact that everyone eventually gets around to rendering a chess set. I ended up doing one.

I guess it's the same with photography.
