I get called both, mostly Dave though.

I like David better too. I have a brother with the same name, and always call him 'David' (or Squidhead, haha).

I'm happy with my name, for the most part. Like my first name, which is Julie - a lot of people shorten it to Jules, doesn't bother me. My last name, while I am proud of its Scottish/Irish roots, also rhymes really well with things like 'bat honeysuckle', or 'rat honeysuckle', or 'cat honeysuckle' and variations thereof....kids loved it when I was in school, haha. :club:

I like 'Julie' - we have 3 at work. My last name is very easy to spell and say yet nobody ever gets it right. They always put a little c after the M to make it more Scottish, which is wrong. It is rare, not many in the world.

I like the name that I was given. My mother thought long and hard about it, and decided on names that wouldn't date my brother or I to a certain era…but instead gave us names that had been in use for centuries and will continue to be. My mom's a wise person.
