The Killing 1956 Stanley Kubrick. Like all good movies of that era, there is some cringeworthy acting lol.

The Killing is a 1956 film noir directed by Stanley Kubrick and produced by James B. Harris. It was written by Kubrick and Jim Thompson and based on the novel Clean Break by Lionel White. The drama stars Sterling Hayden, Coleen Gray, and Vince Edwards, and features Marie Windsor, Elisha Cook Jr., Jay C. Flippen and Timothy Carey.

The Lawless 1950 a bit corny, but worth watching. The intro music is really loud, so be warned. The story makes a good point of the truth being twisted, and makes Americans look gun crazy and vigilante-like as they normally are lol.

American FILM NOlR directed by Joseph Losey and features Macdonald Carey, Gail Russell and Johnny Sands. It is one example of film gris, a more cynical variety of film noir with leftist themes.
